The Matrix Has Youby DrAchooComment: Wow, you were robbed - look at all these 1/2/3 votes... if I were SC, I'd investigate those.

Ready To Fallby obsidianComment: Greetings from the critique club
I agree with the last commentor that moving closer to the seeds would have been better.
A quick glance shows only a busy composition with lots of leaves, which is what most voters would see.

Il Cielo Commestibileby RebeccaComment: Greetings from the critique club
I agree with your comments that this turned out too dark, and with another commentor that the lower half of the image adds a bit too much negative space.
If you were trying to show the seeds as buttons, I'd like to see if a more diagonal composition would work better.
Good luck in the future! |

Having a sparkling timeby JacquiDComment: Greetings from the critique club
A brave improvisation, but with most entries managing to capture real and fancy fireworks, this one did not catch attention.
Good luck in future challenges |

A new look at an old friendby jdannelsComment: Is this Rikki? where did you shoot it from - Sausalito?
Very very nice! Brilliant idea and execution.
Unique perspective. Who would've thought SFO could be made to look like Oregon? |

Harley on Fireby DHSImagesComment: Greetings from the critique club
As mentioned by several others, the photograph submitted is too small to be properly viewed or critiqued. You might want to read the tutorial on submitting photographs for challenge submission:

Nice InfraRed photograph
It seems that you intentionally chose a long exposure, which caused the leaves to go blurry because of the wind. It went a touch too long, as the rightmost tree steals viewer attention from the subject, which appears just a touch too small in the photograph.

Young and Aloneby davidus428Comment: Greetings from the critique club
Congratulations! This is an emotive photograph that tells a story and draws the viewer into it.
You've used the available light to great effect. As you mention, the noise adds to the effect.
Cropping, composition, DoF are just perfect.
Congrats again, and thanks for sharing. |
