I think this is a very big stretch at meeting the challenge. As far as the photograph goes, the subject is not interesting, but that’s just my opinion. The lighting is not good and the focus is soft. I would suggest more lighting on the Santa with white lighting. Seems as if the white balance is off.

I don’t see how the photograph meets the challenge of education. But that’s just my opinion. However you have taken a good and interesting photograph. I will be coming backing to this photograph over and over until the challenge ends to see if I can find a link between the photo, title, and challenge.

Great Photograph, I knew where you were going with it when I saw the picture, I didn’t even have to read the title. The only thing distracting to me is the solid black and very thick border, but that’s an personal opinion. Great job!

Don’t you think the title was tactless when the subject is identifiable?

I liked this photo when I saw the thumbnail edition. When I opened it up to see the large picture so I could get a good view the subject still trapped my attention. But it does seem to be to some extent out of focus witch was disappointing. But a good photograph.

A great low key photograph that fits the challenge imo. I think the subject being out of focus and her reaction in focus was a plus to this photo. Well balanced and a good perspective. Great job! An additional note I was just reading on low key photography a night or two a go and the definition of low key photography fits your photograph well.
[Low key pictures concentrate on the darker tones, often conveying an atmosphere of tension or a powerful deep strength.] And IMO I believe that’s what you were trying to covey with your photograph. Just my 2 Cents!

This is one of my favorite photographs. The subject caught my attention and was sharp as needed in this photo. The exposure imo was good along with the contrast and I love the colors. A well-balanced photograph taken from a good perspective. Great photo!

I think you had a good photo here but way to small to judge. Use the full 640x size when possible. It will help in voting.
