Mayor of Dogvilleby ellamayComment: Interesting take, doesn't feel like a portrait in the traditional sense, but evokes emotion and humor. I wish I could see his eyes, though. A very powerful shot, regardless. |

Samby rhipsterComment: A very natural look, with sophistication all out of proportion with the subject. You have a normal kid in a high-class shot, very nice. Focus could be a tad sharper. Great job overall. |

Landed on a golf course dangerously low on fule!by siggiComment: I have to take points off for spelling and grammar in your headline, but this image meets the challenge sufficiently. More people around the plane or on the course might have benefited the image.
EDIT:
In this particular contest, the headline is an important part of the challenge. If English is not your native language, I would rather you wrote the headline properly in your native tongue than write a nonsensical headline in English. We had plenty of time in this challenge to formulate a strong headline. As it stood, your picture was not strong enough to "fly" without a solid headline, and your headline was too befuddled to make up for the ambivalent photo. A newspaper photo should make the situation obvious, the headline is more like the title of the article than a description of the picture. |

Dreams vs. Career by aaronb532Comment: Congrats on the ribbon, but I have to agree to a point with abreul, I think this looks like a senior portrait, albeit a wierd one, and doesn't evoke any sense of choice for me. To me it looks static and contrived, whereas the second place shot evokes a truly powerful sense of choice even without a title.
Can any of the voters explain why they voted the way they did on this? I must be missing something. I didn't vote on this one, but it doesn't look like my vote would have made a difference here. |

Have your shoes shined !by ytugcuComment: What kind of headline is that? Think about real headlines, topical, specific and active. Image seems overexposed. |
