Saturday Nightby MorbidAngelComment: Nice! This is great, only I wish it were bigger so I could see the details... are you trying to hide that it's blurry??? Hahaha just kidding. I like the color and texture of the image. It's small, so 7, otherwise it would be at least a 9. |

gazing ball by SeanachaiComment: Cool, way to use the long lens and the sun to hide yourself and the camera! Interesting composition, nice reflections. Heh heh, I can see your footprints. :-) |

Champagne Mobile Phoneby sersalComment: Awesome lighting!!! I guess you put a light behind the phone. It's fabulous how the light and the background match the phone keypad! I wish the display weren't blue, it doesn't quite go with the other colors, but still, this is fantastic. 9 |

A Picture Frameby ConcreteDonkeyComment: Very nice lighting. Good background. Unique and interesting composition. I like it, though I think I've looked at it quite long enough, I'll be going now. ;-) |

The Runtby Spanish_GreaseComment: Oooh, what a nice clean image. So very blue too. The placement of the tabletop slightly above the bottom of the frame is very interesting. It's so perfectly horizontal, it's amazing. The lighting is fantastic.
I'm a Nikon guy, but this looks like one of those creamy smooth images that the 10D/300D guys get.
Perfect 10. |

Not to Be Administered Orallyby grigrigirlComment: OMFG! This is hilarious! It took me about 20 seconds of studying it and re-reading the title to get it, but this is fabulous. A real work of art. |

The Flip Flop: From a Toe's Point of Viewby nikon_girlComment: Awesome viewpoint! Very original. Good composition: nice background, but DOF blurs it so it's not distracting. The leaves on the left might be a tiny bit bright, distracting a little from the main subject, but it's not much. Oh, cute flip flops, by the way. 8-) |

Formal Balance Fountainby annasenseComment: I like the composition a lot. I don't know why it's so blurry though. Part of it is probably that the JPEG compression is too high. The image is about 50KB, while you can use up to 150KB for your image. If you raise the quality setting when you save to the JPEG file, there will be much less loss of quality.
This is a very difficult scene to capture properly, though. The contrast between the bright fountain in the sunlight and the dark trunks of the trees means you'll have sacrifice either the dark areas or the bright areas to the hungry demon of lost details. You can use the exposure compensation feature of your camera to reduce the exposure and make the fountain more clearly exposed.
You have a good eye for composition! Practice, practice, practice! 8-) |
