Prowlin'by karmatComment: A nice picture, but no wow factor and the composition isn't too exciting to me. Unless this was taken in the jungle, it's a shot that anyone with a camera could take. |

Ethan, Dirty Face and Allby smellyfish1002Comment: Cool image with a bit of a wow factor, the sharp eyes and high contrast catch your attention. But the eyes are significantly oversharpened, IMO, or maybe the whites are just too white, and it throws off the balance a little.
Nice B&W though, it really feels like an image from the 1920s or something. |

Rachelby dsa157Comment: Just a little blown out on her right side of her face, but I'm sure you'll get plenty of commenters telling you that. :) I love the B&W processing here. Great contrast and textures. Perfect focus, the eyes are alive and intense. |

The Ruinby e301Comment: Wow, this almost feels like a painting. The textures in this image are fantastic. The building is really interesting, but the weather REALLY makes it perfect.
I really am interested to see what kind of postprocessing you did. Did you dodge and burn? Vignetting? I just love the 'feel' of the image but can't quite nail down why.
Just goes to show that it pays to go out in the so-called 'nasty' weather when most photogs stay home! |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: Brilliant! I don't think I've ever seen this exact technique before. Her skin, especially her left hand and arm really match the back-cover girl's face perfectly. Did you have to do any postprocessing to match them this well? |

The Better Mouse Trapby scrum8Comment: Wow, nice colors! That's the first thing I notice about this image. Also, the lighting and textures make it feel really three-dimensional. Beautiful.

Eye of the stormby bobdaveantComment: Yuck, somebody needs a shave. :) No, seriously, this is pretty creative. The lighting is rather dramatic and interesting too. I might prefer to not have the highlight on the edge, because it draws the eye out of the composition instead of letting the eye follow the spiral. |

cement cutterby undieyatchComment: Not a particularly interesting composition. Too centered, "let's just fit the subject in the frame and snap away", etc. Definitely looks like a snapshot. I would maybe get in close and focus on a smaller part of the machine. There's plenty of complexity there to capture. |
