keeping time no moreby claudia26Comment: Elegant in composition, line, clarity, simplicity, understated use of light and shadow, and stunning use of color. This looks like a glossy, upscale ad. Flawless piece. |

Self Powered Massageby awpollardComment: The harsh light and shadows are distracting to me. Interesting use of motif in the bristles, and interesting angle. |

"Ye Olde Nutcracker"by TressiderComment: Stunning colors. Great idea. The the nuts moving off the botton of the frame and the angle of the picture make it seem as though the image is tipping forward. I would change one of those two ekements. Alone they work; in tandem, they unbalance this image. |

silenced by any meansby KDOComment: My seniors actually helped me determine the composition of this picture, the light source, and to blow out the whites on the hand so that it looks even more disconnected and disembodied (from a brain).
This challenge gave my students a chance to look at image as symbol and how to look beyond the intial image to the message, intent, or meaning. We were fascinated at how few comments it got, the fewest of any of my submissions so far. That fact validated what they suspected, that very few people care about their plight. That, although heartbreaking, actually works in our favor since I spend a great deal of time encouraging them to speak up and out for what they believe in. Natives tend to be very quiet, in large part, due to the violent and bloody repercussions that their people have faced in the past. The importance of an educated mind, a powerful vocabulary, a confident spirit, an ability to choose one's battles well, and a determined soul are the essence of my classes. Thanks to all who pass this way and offer support. |

0111 Binary 7by ArnarpComment: Good idea and interesting angle. I would like to see the focus super crisp on all of the CDs. The color reflection is fascinating. Maybe you could play around with that. |

Seven Skeinsby sibelingComment: I like the concept. The backdrop choice is sorta blah. Maybe the skeins on a white stretched canvas using primary colors would have really been eye catching. |

Angels in the Cloudsby lawreeComment: I am not a fan of crafts although I could certainly use a few angels in my life. The style and variety of angels used are distracting to me. I woul have liked to see an edgier background or composition to add interest. |

Can you Count 7by Travis99Comment: Nice idea. The shadows do trick the eye into seeing more than seven. Clever title. Th bottommost stick is not true to its color. Other than that stick, the basic colors are stunning. |
