It was my "fallback photo" and I knew it was a bit boring. I had another idea involving a CD but it just didn't worked so I submitted this one.
Interesting how people judged differently about meeting the challenge. Didn't thought that this would be a question when submitting it but when I think about it you're right. It's really streching it a bit.

very nice shot. i like the colors, refelections and the abstact pattern inside the ice. good "transparency". maybe a little more DOF would be better, because the lower part of the ice cube is blurred.

very nice transparency. i love the colors. a bit blurred but that's ok. almost looks like one of these nebula shots from NASA (only with white background instead of black).
unfortunately the photo is getting darker to the top.

very nice shot! looks like it was photographed through stained glass or something like that. i especially like how the center of the flower is sharp but the rest is blurred and even distorted. good colors as well.

very high contrast so it's a bit abstract but that's interesting. the candle in the center could be a bit sharper. after all it is the center of this photo.
