trappedby heartsdivideComment: nice idea. trapped in the woods really can be a fear for us townspeople ;-) but the photo has some flaws. e.g. the trees are all equally dark but the sky is blue and white (clouds). so the photo looks (at least to me) like as if you wanted to show the nice sky and the trees are only framing to it. so a different white balance where the trees are lighter and better seen (different shades of green) and the sky therefore is a bit overexposured would be better. less DOF would also be better to put more focus on the trees. but i see that a wider aperture would have been difficult with the lighting conditions. a setup where the trees really frame the photo and only a little part in the middle is empty would express this "trapped" feeling more. now there is some empty space on the bottom of the photo being contrary to "trapped". |

"I Dare You!"by Denise CataniaComment: nice idea of the red bulls eye making him look wild (and thus scaring). but somehow the bull looks only sad with the tears (?) and not wild. |

no fear !by gesellComment: funny! it's like the super-hero says "have no fear o lovely maid" ;-) maybe you could have cropped more on the right or moved the camere to the left. that way there would be less of the dark area on the right side. negative space on the left side woould be cooler. nice colors. a bit grainy and blurred though, but still one of my favourites this week. |

Madame Butterflyby Susan2736Comment: nice transparency. i like the colors but it's a bit dark. i guess it's a candle behind the glass. candles make a nice warm light but aren't very bright. maybe you could have used someting else. |

Rainy Day Sadnessby Ricky CleaveComment: nice shot. i like the motion blur of the raindrops falling on the street. the sky on the top of the photo is overexposured. i would have tried to crop the whole roof. just under these cables. you really could have cleaned the window. it's not very transparent ;-) |

Aaaaaahby pauldComment: i see the transparency but the shot is not so creative (or i don''t get it). also a bit overexposured, because the white light on the right side "burns" in to the face. |

natural loupeby pablolevaComment: nice idea. good DOF. only some minor things, like why the glass is not centered? symmetry would be nice here. the thing on the right side is distracting but i guess it's the handle, so it couldn't be easily removed ;-) i would have tried to either zoom out to show the whole glass with the complete handle or zoom in so that the glass fills the whole photo and the handle is not visible. i don't know if the text in the background has some meaning but i think another background with more colors would be more interesting. |
