Look like you've got a little bit of motion blur on the in focus lego 'bumps'. Self-timer and a tripod/stack of books, lump of silly putty would help if that's the case.. If it's not motion blur, ignore me :-).

Words, yes... But you could have had some in focus... Some digital cameras wont focus well on a PC monitor, try putting something black down the center of the screen like a black ruler.. You half-press the shutter to get the camera to focus and meter the image, whip out the ruler then to the full press of the shutter to take the photo. It should have focused more closely on the surface of the screen that it apperas you got here...

This looks a little under exposed / under saturated. Is that because you didn't want to stay long enough for a longer exposure? :-). When shooting predominantly white/light coloured surfaces you generally need to compenstage +.5 to 1 stop as the camera will read the 'average' light level to be quite high, and underexpose the shot. That might be what happened here?

Ummmm, Wow. The end of the book with the crease it in of course means that this is not perfect :-). Having said that, this is probably the best photo I've seen on DPC. Great composition, great idea, well exposed, yada yada yada.. Well done.

I've got to get me one of those models...

OK, I've cut a lot of slack to flower photos, as I'm a bit partial to a nice bloom, but I'll just have to go with what I imagine is the bulk of the voters on this one, and say it dosn't even come close to meeting the challenge.

I gather this message isn't meant for me? The focus seems a little soft, but that's what you may have been going for?

Very neat, is the rock etched? The highlights are a little distracting, but I assume this is outdoors so you'd have a bit of trouble fixing them. Well done..

Thanks for your comments..

Another lesson learnt about DPC. Check/correct the whitebalance before uploading a pic to DPC ;-).

I'm quite happy with how it placed though, I don't have high expectations of a photo that took me all of 5 minutes from idea to upload.

Cool image! It's a little contrasty, in that the highlights are blown out slightly, and the shadow detail on the guinnes label could be slightly lighter. It is instantly guinnes though.

Love the colour, the only distraction in this shot is the left side of the strawberry, that looks a little 'dinted' to me, compared to the luscious top right. The highlights on the silver might be just a little blown out, but it's a great image.
