Very nice picture, a little too dark for a newspaper print. I think I would have adjusted the levels up a bit to bring emphasis to dock and less on the weather, which is the feeling I get from the darkness. Unless that is what you was going for...a storm coming in and blowing the dock away...then smack me.

Good shot, worthy of being in the Wine and Dining section of the paper. Maybe just a bit warmer lighting would calm down those hot spots on a few of the pieces of lettuce that seem to be over powered a lose detail. DOF could have been a tiny bit deeper as we are starting to lose detail of the salad items near the back edge of the plate. It's a very nice shot, I like the composition.

Good newsworthy shot. I don't think the officer on the left needs to be in the picture as the wreckage tells the story here. I may have moved the whole picture right centering more on the two vehicles involved. Still a very good, clear shot.

Maybe a different title for this newspaper challenge. Probably a dog park, but I see what appears to be a dog show going on in the background I may have played that angle. There are those who may ding you for that title. I may have cropped the dog on the right out as it seems to be a bit distracting. Anyways very good picture with deep dof, everything is quite clear and sharp. Good job.

Can't argue with this one, something you definatley would see in the paper. Great Idea. Not the hightest quality picture, but mug shots never are. I beleive that you took it intentionally this way to fit the bill. Good job, great idea.

Cool shot but this might be just a little to dark to make it to a newspaper. I like the way the sun is flaring in the corner but where its at gives you little light to work with. The term Great Season (and it is a good title), I think of Bright future, I might have shot this mid morning where all the crop just really pops out at the viewer.

Way too busy for me...too much white in the center of the picture, I seem to get lost. Marinas are very hard to shoot, I try all the time here in San Diego and I meet with the same results. The pack a lot of really cool boats in a small area. Maybe try a different angle and I might have tried this from a little further back. Not try capture so many boats but more detail of just a few.

Cool picture...a couple thoughts, it is a candid but if it was really to be a print in a newspaper I might have had the guy with the pole hold the fishing line so that it didn't come across his face and I my have repositioned the older gentleman so the pole was not in front of his face. I might have also cropped a bit from the left. Good clear picture though.
