micknewton, I guess it is Short Sands Beach. I didn't know that was the name of it but yes, you're right. We were camping in that campground at Oswald West and when you take the trail down to the beach there's a wooden bridge passing over a little stream. I'm standing on that bridge for this shot.

Sometimes I get so sick of the overcast Oregon skies blowing out all my pictures, but I loved the effect it gave in this shot. It was late afternoon when I took it.

I don't care for this selective color technique -- I don't see what that adds to the photo.

To me the interesting part of this photo is the way the shadow of the blade is falling on the building. I would've tried getting in closer and capturing that. Just an idea...

Feels crowded in the top half and with a huge spread of empty foreground that doesn't add anything to the shot. The barn is a nice subject though.
