You had a compositional challenge here. The photo of the lipstick holder and the chili lipstick are excellent. The bunch of chilis does not work as well as they are partially blocked from view and they are not as brightly lit. I would suggest just a pair fully exposed and well lit just to the left of the holder. A 7.

A nice idea. The mouse tails unfortunately are rather unmouselike. Love the cat and cheese. While the lighting on the cat is adequate it is not quite spectacular nor is the setting. A 7.

Nicely done. The reflected "wine bottle " is not my taste, but the eye itself is magnificent. I personally would like it if imitating a master were not required for judgement of whether or not a picture is surrealistic. I hope those who make that the criteria are familiar with the artistic version of this image. A 9.

Eye of the Beholder

Extremely nice macro. The dark lower left corner is certainly surrealistic. The depth of field is quite low so the focus here was crucial. Well done. I think one of the nice things about photography is seeing what is normally overlooked or unseen because of the nature of our vision. Thank you for allowing me to see something I never else would have seen. A 9.

Excellent use of long exposure. If you made gargoyles, you are entitled to a lot of extra credit. A 7, as I do not understand the title and am unsure of credit for gargoyle creation.

A nicely done picture. If there is a cake under the candles, I do not understand the cropping. Normally, I am not voting on pictures to which I do not see the surrealist connection. But since this is well done, I will give it a 7.
