Day-14-St.-John's.jpgby KenComment: The color is what grabs the eye in this one. Maybe try cropping the whole thing tighter, cutting off some on the right and top (that way it looks like you missed the top of the gable on purpose). I do like that stonework, though. |

Pine Grosbeakby stargazer05766Comment: The background bokeh is perfect for her coloring. And nice work getting the shot as she gets to the meat of the seed. |

Houndstoothby AliciaComment: This is a fantastic candid, even with - or maybe especially because of - the motion blur. |

It was lateby AliciaComment: If they were drinking Everclear, this is definitely how those kids were feeling. |

day 17. december slice of life. dragonflyby rozComment: I'm not a big fan of bug macros, but you've done a good job of making this one more interesting. The pose of the bug is weird and different, and the overlays definitely help. The wings get a little lost since they're the same color as the two overlays; maybe make the blueish one a little stronger? |

heat danceby AliciaComment: I really like this, but there's something ... weird? about her face. Maybe it's the processing or blur from odd movement? Or just my monitor. Overall, though, I do like it. Several things going on all at once, really captures the feel of the party. |

Day 3by carofoComment: You're absolutely insane for going out in that weather. But you've captured a beautiful night - the lights of the city do blend nicely with the Aurora. |

Day 12by carofoComment: It's like two different worlds in that airport - the stark, white, uncomfortable terminal and then the warm, cozy cafe/restaurant. Nice job separating them with the railing and columns. |

Day 11by carofoComment: Still more great use of those blurred silhouettes! I like the b&w choice here, especially since most Xmas pictures are of the colors. |
