I think you got robbed! This photo is so nice and should have scored higher, IMHO. It's so touching and emotive that the "feel good" quality far overshadows the technical nitpicks. I gave it a 9.

Well, I liked it and gave it an 8. There's a good chance I was suffering from flower fatigue and was overly excited about this one. I like the shallow DOF and the balanced composition. There are things that might have made it better; but I'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback, from more knowledgable members, regarding those.
