050616045650 copy.jpgby pixielandComment: That's really nice. I love how you captured that expression. The light is good, though the shirt has a bluish tint (probably my monitor). I think I'd consider cloning out that white area at bottom left. Really good image! |

Contemplationby JayWalkComment: Funny that you almost submitted the nude form of this. When I first saw it, I thought "That's a perfect setup for a nude." Either way, this is a really good shot. Perhaps it would be better with more light, but I like it just fine as it is. |

Adam close upby jeffzoetComment: This one, I really like. The smile, the crop, lighting. It all seems to work. |

Adam by tires 03by jeffzoetComment: Like the angle and the casual look. Nice lighting. Not sure if I'm just being picky, but the triangle behind his head is a bit distracting to me. Really good shot, regardless. |

Thunderbirdby rox_roxComment: Thanks everyone for the great comments.
I wasn't going to enter this, but someone talked me into it. Glad I did, as it is currently my 2nd highest score.
The original had a great deal of noise. This is the first time I've used Noise Ninja. Not sure I used it correctly, but it did help considerably.
Thanks again to Bear_music for pointers on editing, and convincing me to enter it.
The horizon appears to be slanted, but this is an optical illusion. It's almost impossible to identify the actual horizon as it actually conisists of two different islands. I think the lack of lights on the left contributes to this illusion.
I flip-flopped on cropping out the bird. Do wish it were larger and more in focus. |

Trainby notonlineComment: I like this. I gave it a 7. Can't really articulate what it is that I like about it, but I'm definitely drawn to the street on the right. It seems to quiet and deserted, though it looks like a place you wouldn't want to be late at night. It's also very crisp for a long exposure and the darkness doesn't bother me. It feels balanced to me. |

Anticrepuscular Rays over Taos, NMby strangeghostComment: Wow! I love it. As I was shooting this morning, something came back to me that I read when I first got into photography. "When you think you have a beautiful shot, turn around and look behind you." This image epitomizes that philosophy. Thanks for sharing it. |
