thats so weird it looks like the dog is running across water. this is quite and awesome compoistion but your colors seems off and its slightly tilted. with a little work this could be much stronger.

first of all this isn't that sharp of a picture. the composition isn't too bad I would have left in the whole body.

Fauna or this region

I see a compostional flaw or what have you it looks as if thow the dog has someting in his mouth but its the rock in the background. there are so many ways you could have cropped this. I would try keeping the dogs reflection and cropping out all but the splash that arches and his feet. could be a stonger compostion but thats me. more important than that I would have cropped out the top section as it adds little to your compositon.
