Very reminiscent of the famous National Geographic cover shot. I like the detail and focus on this. IMHO more exposure on the eyes may have added to the shot, as the burst of color seems to stem more from the head-dressing rather than the eyes. Yet, the eyes are the main focal point of the shot. Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless... 8

Nice creative use of composition and DOF. The way the object appears to twist in and out of focus really makes this interesting as well as adds depth to the shot. Admittedly, the 'burst of color' theme seems really understated here. But I like the shot regardless..... 7

Pots of Color

What a great candid! the colors are so bright they almost look surreal here. The slightly skewed angle and framing works well for the feel of this shot. I'm finding the shadows near the lower part of the shot distracting. I think that there's so much color in the other elements of the shot, you could have probably cropped the lower part out and not lost any of the shot's impact. Just my own opinion, nice capture nonetheless.... 8
