The 3 Sistersby KoriyamaComment: Those trees are almost glowing nuclear green - can't help but think this might be over-saturated. the reds are impressive, but those greens just feel radioactive. |

Woodland Beautyby channeledComment: Feels too over-processed to me. The skin looks kind of creepy in its soft-effect. Nice natural expression though. |

The Icelandic Foxby tyrkinnComment: For this shot to work (to me) it needs to retain fur detail throughout the subject. It's lost on the head due to a highlight. It's a difficult shot though, as exposing for the head would let most of the rocks go to shadow. Might have been worth it though. |

Proud Hunterby BrookiedComment: If this were a wilderness shot (ie - no sidwalk) it would at least be a nice documentary type of shot, but in this case I find it extremely unattractive. It's also very soft in the lower left. |

Shhh.. He's sleepingby NodeComment: Interesting shot, but I find all the surroundings distracting. A tighter zoom (or crop) would make it more dramatic. |

Fallby emorgan49Comment: Great reflection shot, and agreat study in symmetry, but the colors are a bit flat, and shy appears to be blown out. |

Leann Rimes signing autographsby SmittyDFWComment: Photojournalism is often about getting the shot more than thw quality of the shot... It has to be that way since you can't "pose" reality. Unfortunately, in a photography contest that isn't oriented towards photojournalism the details become important... Like the partiall cut off person on the right, the book blockinf L.R.'s shoulder, the blurred head int he foreground. I understand why they are there, and would call this picture great for the newspaper, but not for a DPC challenge. You did capture a good expression though! |

Leafy Alleyby cooliakComment: This image is overexposed... There is detail lost on the highlights at path-level on both sides. Looks like you needed to take a few houres earlier or later; With this micu tonal range even a grad filter wouldn't have brought the whole scene into 4 stops. |

Flagstaff,AZby prbettsComment: The scene has potential, but the streetlight is a major detractor. Need to work on the clone tool. |
