Pacific Vortexby charliebakerComment: Many asked how this photo was created. I set the exposure on 15 seconds, and walked backwards away from the camera while swinging my headlamp in a circle. The photo was taken at 1AM and the 15 second exposure (maximum on my digital camera)didn't allow for much light, so in bringing up the light contrast, the grain was the result. I tried neat imaging the thing but stayed with the grain in hopes of capturing more of the spinning sense within the midst of a vortex. Thanks for the comments. |

An L82, Just for Youby RistyzComment: Lovely lighting on the car with soft focus. The lighting on the mesa in the background would have been sweet if glowing in sunset light. |

Furnitureby velazquezComment: Congrats on the Brown Ribbon! The smallness of the photo size helped alot to garner this honor. |

Black to moveby whiterookComment: Whiterook rules the board! Even though one whiterook has been "suspended" and sits out along the edge for awhile, the other triumphantly guards the lower corner of DPC. Congrats on another beautiful Brown! You're the master! |

14 FT 1 INby ZoomdakComment: Classic street photography style with excellent interplay of light and dark, intriguing composition and a subject "on the street". Solid entry! |

Reachby ZoomdakComment: Zoomy, Hey congrats on a great top 10 6th place finish! Now who is the composer? Time to head out of the Art Building and over the Music Building to learn to play this piece on the piano. I notice a few changes in time signature, always a fun little surprise for musicians! This just may be your highest Spokane photo to date! Lovely! |

Obfuscatedby ZoomdakComment: Congrats on a great top ten (%) finish in this challenge Thomas. It was fun being there in that brief 10 minutes to shoot with you, before heading off to the airport. Love, Dad.
P.S. This photo is kinda growing on me. I'm thinking of making some squash soup or something. Better not add too much salt! |
