Room with a Viewby PollyBeanComment: interesting shot, I like how the dof is wide enough to make you wonder is it a reflection or really a window. |

Prarie Ghostby VisiBlancoComment: very cool...a really small aperature wouldn've made everything in focus...pulling the eye all-over with the branches |

Barn and blue (plastic)by bucketComment: interesting composition, I like the way the eye is drawn from the top right and pulled in close to the focus on the left, nice job...only complaint might be that it looks a bit oversaturated/maybe sharpened |

Helping Hand by aznymComment: outstanding shot. The idea captures challenge perfectly and the execution/composition/lighting was well thought-out. |

through mine ownby ericsuthComment: well, I liked it. It was my first post of a psuedo macro-shot. I used two primes (50mm/1.8 and a 35mm/2) nose to nose to get extremely close to my wife's eye. Unfortunately, since I was handholding I couldn't stop down enough and the DOF was probably less than 1mm; therefore the reason for all of the "blurry" type comments. I used a small penlight to light up the area just behind her eye. The idea was to have a "sunrise" or dawn over her eye...but ended up not being able to execute it on short notice. Ah well, maybe I'll try it later with a tripod and less giggly subject (I think she had too much wine :). Message edited by author 2005-04-06 09:35:03. |

Humanity Wore a Different Faceby md8speedComment: even if viewers went along with evolution this is wrong, usually best not to try and involve too much controvery; much less misguided controversy. Nice capture though |
