A better mouse...by soccerdadComment: Very nice idea and execution. Photo angle, lighting and crop are all excellent. I would probably have opted for just one mousetrap and a bit tighter crop (or just make use of the resulting negative space). Nice creative response to the challenge! |

White Picket Fenceby digitaldaveComment: ...and quite a dirty fence! I love the composition. It looks a bit soft overall. I would have liked to see better detail in the ground (plants, soil, etc.) and better relief in the texture of the wood and paint. I like the choice of BW and the crop. Very nice effort and meets the challenge well, IMO. |

95 centsby parrotheadComment: Outstanding idea, composition, and crop. I like the BW choice too, but I think the graininess is going to work against this image. I'd like to see it done with a bit more sharpness and texture (hands are great, IMHO), and the coins work well, but again, too grainy. |

THREE MUSKETEERSby RandomActComment: Very sharp focus, which is necessary to compliment the stark lines of the BW. While I like the image as is, I'd like to have seen a wider crop with more empty or negative space. It looks like the corner of a wood surface (table?), maybe a bit more of the expanse of the tabletop. The whitish, lined object just beyond the subjects is a bit distracting. |

Dirty Windshieldby GeneralEComment: Yeah, it's dirty! Very unusual coloring and texture, but I like the composition overall. |

Unsharpened Pencilsby webkingComment: Excellent choice of subject and composition. Meets the challenge very nicely and in a provocative, unusual take on an ordinary object. |

Have a seatby andrimComment: Very interesting composition. I love the stark contrast of the black chair on the perfectly white background. I would have liked to see a different crop though, with considerably more use of negative space to really leave the chair stranded in a more open photo. |

Everyday Objectsby hfngotphotoComment: The dark cast over the entire photo works well for me. I like the implied contrast between the low and hi tech, and the display of the calculator is nice (pi). Good pic! |

Do you want water?by paha_lComment: The more I looked at it, the more this photo grew on me. Very appropriate dof, nice sharp focus at the level of the water. the perspective on the spoon is interesting, and the use of light and shadows makes the composition very interesting to look at. I think the light source could have been a bit brighter. Very nice pic though. |
