Extraordinary Powerby PhilosComment: The extraordinary thing is that you were able to capture so much white without overexposing any of it. Really beautiful shot. |

Extraordinarily loud by shoylesComment: Wow - what a great idea for this challenge. Might have a bit more impact with higher contrast, but it's a really nice photo that shows amazing imagination. |

Tokyo Towerby PhilipDyerComment: Thanks for all of your nice and helpful comments, everyone. This is my highest score so far and certainly better than I could have expected. I'm really psyched about it!
And I'll call or write you, Marac, when I get back from America. I'd love to go out shooting and to check out your discount camera shop with you. Plus, when I come back, I'll be bringing a Canon 300D with me. At least we won't be fighting over lenses at the store. ;-) |

La PIazza Dell' Arteby debitiptonComment: Hey - check you out! I really loved this picture and should have commented on it during the challenge, but I was busy showing a lovely family around Tokyo. ;-) Congrats! Message edited by author 2004-06-28 05:24:18. |

ognobby SeanachaiComment: Very unique decision to desaturate the main focus of the photo. It's a bit noisy in the colored part, so you might try keeping the colored and desaturated selections on different layers and then only sharpening the desaturated part, or even blurring the colored part. Cute shot! |

Little Girl Blueby gabrielrjrComment: Very cute shot. It's so hard to keep a child still when you want to leave the shutter open for awhile. Sometimes I'll ask my 5-year-old to lean on something, such as that rock, which will keep her from moving around too much. You'd think they could sit still for just 1/10th of a second! :-) |

. . . Ladybugby ladpupmoeComment: I really like the clarity you were able to achieve on this photo. It looks like you desaturated by removing all colors except red, which left the ladybug a slightly odd brown color at the top. It might have been better to lasso the whole ladybug and desaturate everything else, which would retain the full color of the insect. But it's really nice like this as well - great shot. |

Being thereby jjbeguinComment: I really like this shot - it's one of my favorites in the challenge. My only nitpick is that his face looks a little washed out. It might be better with a little burning and sharpening. Still, great job! |
