my favorite flowerby cowcollectComment: I think a little different angle, to get the sun out of the picture, would have given you richer colors. Also, shallow depth of field has gotten half the flower out of focus. It looks like you were trying to get the flower against the sky, but the darker background of grass and trees would have contrasted more with the backlit petals.
You were trying for a tough one, and only missed by a little. Keep taking pictures! |

Congenial Canineby luv2photoComment: What a nice pose! It looks like you took advantage of some natural lighting, well spotted. |

Anatomy Ablazeby RoosterComment: I really love the idea, but it didn't make a good composition. Maybe just one hand, fingers together, would have been easier to identify, and more interesting. It certainly is a great take on the challenge! |

Lonely in New Mexicoby ethanfunkelComment: What you have here is pretty much the reverse of backlighting. The background is dark, and the light is from the front. It's a nice shot of a late afternoon storm, though. |

The Cats Whiskersby guitar_mannComment: You might as well crop off the dirty mirror to the right. It is more of a distraction than an accent. (now, if only it was that easy to clean a mirror in real life!) |

Sun Kissedby drz01Comment: The composition seems a little cluttered. Beautiful leaf, though, perfectly exposed. |

Seeing Tripleby LittleGreenKatComment: The background is extremely distracting. You could have walked around the area a bit, and chosen a better overall composition. |
