My Daily Vice - Take 3 times a day with foodby C-town driverComment: A very nice shot - the repetition of the bottle lends itself to the habit idea. I like your choice of lining them up in the sun with the louvers creating the lines. For such a particular shot I'd like to see things a little more precise ... the labels and embossing all lined up. Good colors, I like the balance of the reds and yellows. |

Bad Habit!by DaveyBComment: Nicely shot - good exposure, I like the blackness you attained with the background. In the end though, the composition is not terribly compelling. |

"T" in placeby vaguiloComment: The colors here are nice. The background is a little bland and doesn't add much to the composition. The contrast could be bumped up a little bit - it all seems slighly washed out. I'm not sure if it's caused by her position, but it seems like the rotation is slightly off or maybe it's just that the strap on the right side is higher and the butt cheek is lower. |

Why can't we feed the animals?by theSajComment: It's a picture of a squirrel. How does it fit the challenge? The photo itself is rather charming. I like the squirrel's pose - the colors are wonderful and I enjoy the way the posts and fencing in the background lead the eye around the frame. The tree to the right bothers me a little, I might like to see it cropped a bit to minimize it or a deeper DOF to give it more texture to contrast with the texture of the squirrel's fir. |

A Real Nail Biterby utopian mangComment: An interesting way of staging this habit. The soft, soft focus still allows us to see the fingers, lips and teeth. I like the lighting and exposure very much. It gives the habit a rather dreamy quality. |

Digging for Goldby DigitalNoobComment: The colors are very nice and the focus is good. The staging of the photo lacks honesty. The child only has his finger in his nose - I don't believe that he's actually picking it, so the representation of the habit is a little diluted. The eyes could be lightened up, perhaps a little white bounceboard between you and the subject. |

Cheater's Habitby mocabelaComment: Great closeup. The DOF is good and the details are well captured. The composition is rather nice, I like the diagonal lines created by the fingers. The sepia choice makes this a more compelling shot - almost like one of those dreamy ring exchange shots from a wedding. |

safety habitby andlbComment: I like the colors here very much. The vibrancy of the red is wonderful compared to the muted greens in the background. I like the sharpness of the texutres on the gas bottles. The candidness of the shot is appropriate for the challenge - though the safety part is lost on me. |

Lady like??by tolovemoonComment: The image here looks slightly distorted/elongated. You're permitted 150K, this image is only 14K - so a better quality image would improve the image's appearance. I like the candid quality of this shot and the direction of the light. |

in the habit of showing up every 17 years, brood X cicadasby coolharComment: Wonderful capture. They look bizarrely plastic - the saturation is lush and the focus is pretty crisp as is the DOF. I like your composition with the diagonal positions of the cicadas and the stem running the full diagonal. The periodicity of the cicadas is hardly a habit, merely their existence, but then again, to me bugs are a photography habit! |
