Shopaholicby johnmComment: Stunning. The colors are rich and compelling, the angle of the type on the glass is wonderfully compelling and the DOF gives it an extra kickk. |

Coffee Breakby LenMComment: Wonderfully composed. Elegant. Simple. I'm curious about the lack of color to the photo - it feels a little lifeless without the brown-ness of the cofee. Nicely done - good exposure, DOF and focus. |

Healthy habitby evenendresenComment: Very inventive shot - I love the colors and the light on the face. The strangeness of the composition is quite fun, though I'd like to see the face bumped up in the shot just slightly so we could see her chin. Good work. |

night capby breezee70Comment: I like the curve of the smoke very much. The overall composition is a little bland for me - a tighter crop, less glare from the flash would have helped (but I understand lighting smoke is pretty tough). The look of the photo now gives a sense of these habits as unappealing, which works well for the challenge - they're something that you do, but after a while you must do but not necessarily take the same enjoyment from anymore. |

Midnight Snackingby goinskiingComment: Very nicely captured. I like the lighting and the severe use of negative space to give it an eerie quality. The composition is very good and the DOF and focus is spot on. |

Nervous Biteby RoosterComment: I like this as a portrait very much. The sepia tone gives it a timeless quality and the trouble expression is really wonderful. The harsh shadow where the hand is at the face is a little distracting - more fill light would help. The focus could be crisper, but it doesn't have to be completely sharp. It seems to capture the habit challenge well - more of the emotion of nail biting than the act of it. |

Student's day in Polandby dvorakplComment: This is a great candid capture. I like the color, exposure and DOF. The composition and position of the people is really interesting and compelling. You've picked up some nice textures on the fabric of his jeans and the folds of her jacket. |

Man's Best Friendby DamianComment: I like the DOF here, the creases in the thumb and the numbers on the buttons come across loud and clear. The black and white choice is great - it helps to minimize the background items that don't relate to the TV and the "viewer". A less centered composition might make for a stronger comment. |

Deco Ashtrays Not Needed Here Anymoreby KylieComment: I like the colors and the composition very much. The angles of the ashtrays and their positions work well. The focus could be crisper - or to really go for a "look" the DOF could allow for one or two to be softer than the other with a different angle. |

The things people do.by ratha1004Comment: I was confused if the habit was recycling or drinking. The lighting and chaotic assembly of the bottles and cans is nice. I like the colors and some of the keylight reflections - but the hot contrast on the keystone is a little too much. I like the lines of your composition - the diagonals work well and the DOF and focus is good. |
