Aural Addictionsby gte000nComment: I think this is an amazing photo - I love the exposure and the contrast on it. The textures are spot on fabulous and the expression and posture of the man are wonderful at communicating his intense attention to his work. I don't think many folks are going to connect it to the challenge of habits, but that aside it's a great candid. |

Overdoseby ltjmanComment: Very funny, I like the forced perspective and the choice of lighting starting at the feet - showing that this habit is done in hiding/darkness. The border actually helps quite a bit with your composition to give it a boundary with the grey background of the website. |

Playing With Fire May Get You More Than Burnedby d95vetteComment: I think it's great that you captured the fireworks sign in the background. I wish the flames of the tanks were a little more vivid - that would really make the connection. The colors are wonderful and I like the off-centered cluster of the people (though the woman facing us draws focus from the black bottomed balloon). It doesn't feel like a representation of a habit per se. |

Tom's got a bad habitby DefyTimeComment: The framing on this is very nice - I like the greenery at the top and then in the center of the frame. You captured the story well, with the expert use of DOF. The balcony really helps with the lines of the composition - leading the eye to the window.
That said, this hardly seems like a habit. An obsession, a preferred activity, a deviance ... a crime perhaps, but not exactly a habit. But I think it's a great photo and marked it solely on those merits. |

Rub a Dub Dubby ddmckinney1954Comment: A nice idea for a positive habit. I like the color of the soap and the skin textures. You captured the bubbles really well, but I think it's a little overexposed, a slightly lower light level or different exposure length would help. A little more context within the frame of running water or a sink or faucet would help to complete the composition well. |

Gnawerby AmiYuyComment: Very nice composition for this challenge. I really like the portrait quality and the detail that includes the well chewed nails and even the DOF to include the wood textures in the background. Probably my favorite of the nail biting. |

Playstation Habit (addiction)by FalcComment: Very inventive angle of a common object. I like the colors and the saturation. It feels a little oversharpened to me, but I think the textures and composition are great. |

Divorceby rob moenComment: Great idea and well executed. The simplicity is really nice. I like the colors - the mild blues and cool whites. I think the DOF could be a little deeper and could include the top of the toothpaste as well as the lid, to try to pull the idea together that it should be put back on the tube. The border is slightly distracting - I think a slightly darker or pure white would work better, but that's a personal preference. |

I blame the dogby MundiComment: I think the lighting and the contrast on this are a little harsh and low - for the idea of surprise to work, I think a more realistic light source would help. Though it does create some fun shadows. |
