Wonderfully elegant and simple composition that puts this shot above most others - the texture and luminesence of the shell is great along with the highlight around the edge to firmly define the edges.

Beautiful use of color without losing contrast. The grain of the hair on the snout does a wonderful job of leading the eye of the vewier back to the eye.

I like the textures but the photo seems oversharpened and missing some wonderful details in the textures. I'm not sure how it relates to the challeng topic of multiple light sources.

Marble and Gameboy. A Generation Gap

This one made me laugh. It's just so charming to see a marble with a high tech replacement. The highlights on the left edge of the gameboy are wonderful and the curve of the yellow swish in the marble is especially fun because it's such an organic shape combined with the perfect sphere and then the electronics. Your composition is original and inventive and I like the use of negative space at the top of the frame. Your DOF and focus and exposure are all top notch.

I wish very much that this photo was larger so I could really enjoy the details you've captured. I love the old style fillament bulbs and the old glass that accentuates the DOF in the window. The irregularness of the bulb placment is really nice.

I like the colors here very much, the blueness of the sky, the pop of the red shirt and the green fringes of grass to the right. The horizon looks a little off, a slight rotation ccw would make this "feel" a little more natural. I like the capture of the waves and the child as she reaches, it gives the shot a captured moment quality. I'm not seeing multiple light sources, but I thought I'd comment on the photo as a whole.

An intresting abstract - I like your focus on the shadows and light and the shapes that they made. The muted tones are good and your compsotion is strong with the centering of the light source but the flare from it is a little overexposed.

Lovely shot - I like the DOF and how some of the lights are larger than others. The diagonal composition and chaotic look of the points of light make this much more interestesting than a straight on shot.

Nicely framed and composed. I like the color of the beer and the skin tones, but the background color melts a little too closely in with the head of the beer and flesh - a little bump in the saturation might have helped.

The Nailbiter

I think this is a very persuasive shot to convince someone that nail-biting is an unappealing habit. There are some small details that detract from the photo though - a softer light would mean less reflection on the nail, which I think would help with the detail/contrast on the photo as while. There are some things in the background, those white blotches that detract from the main subject - a more neutral background would have helped. There seems to be a little hair or thread at the top of the finger as well which doesn't seem to need to be there. The textures you captured and colors are great - I like the swollen red parts around the cuticle.
