A suggestion to further this just a bit:
Image, Adjustments, Auto-Color.
Image, Adjustments, Auto-Contrast.
Image, Adjustments, Photo Filter, Warming filter (85)set to 25% and preserve luminosity selected.
Facial tones were a bit flat in my opinion and could use a little bump. Not much and is very minimal really. (I have an accurately calibrated monitor btw)

Not quite a classical "portrait" in a way. Has more of a stolen/candid moment look and feel about it. So what - I love happy shots, and precious moments such as this.

Gotta' love the hair here. Great job on this - hard for a shot like this to not put a smile on one's face - it did mine!
Only nit here is the area of the red hair just above her forehead - seems to soft in comparison to the rest of the shot. Red hair - curly/wavy red hair - my fav.

Nice portraiture - smiles really make it.
The white balance seems off and overall a bit dark. I see from the exif you
have CS3, so try this:
Image, Adjustments, Match Color. Click the Neutralize button on the bottom and adjust sliders as follows: Luminance=200, Color Intensity=100, Fade=0, Click OK
Image, Adjustments, Levels, click Options, Enhance per channel contrast should be checked already, set clip levels in shadows and the highlight boxes to 0.05% and click on the Save as defaults (these are the best levels for defaults vs. what Photoshop is set at out of the box) Click OK.
The image is really pretty close now, with maybe one last step to shift the skin tones out of the yellow hues:
Image, Adjustments, Selective Color, use the drop down and select the yellow channel and set the sliders as follows: Cyan: -10, Magenta: 0, Yellow: -10, Black: 0, then click Ok, with a final adjustment to Image, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation, +5% on the saturation. Try it. This is all basic edit stuff, and a whole heck of a lot more can be done in advanced. (my monitor is accurately calibrated by the way)
