Seconds Awayby docpjvComment: I like this shot .. I feel that the three glare spots will probably hurt you a bit however. Not very crisp and your DOF is too shallow despite all of this I just like it... I feel this fits the challenge very well. so bwahahaaaaa the technical rules can bite me you get a good score any way.. |

Separated Lookby MonaComment: Hmm it's a bit dark and the wood grain looks to be a bit out of focus. I also have trouble seeing the "separation" in this shot. Not a bad shot probably would have done a little better if I could make the separation connection. As i it about average. |

Angel Food Cake or Creme Brulee?by joroComment: one of the better egg shots so far. Ver welldone from a technical stand point. Good lighting, color and focus. I do feet that it is a little week in the separation area however. In this paticular situation showing the separation of the shell, yoke, and white. Persnaly prefere to see the actual separation taking place. While this is not a shot I would frame for my wall it is still a very nice shot. |

A Mother's Last Goodbyeby nidanComment: I like the effect you were going for with the dark ring aroung the shot.. But it just seems a little off too me. In the back beside the tombstone on the left there is softhing the looks weird. It is either a bad sunspot or another stone I can't tell wich. I do however enjot the soft feel of the photo and the painted look it has. |

The Separation of Church and Steakby edc1Comment: I don't think that the church being out of focus helped this shot any.. I also realy don't like the eyes on the rubber steak. I would have preferred a crisp shot with a real state... i mean steak.. In a weird was I must a agree however this does fit the challenge. But I'm not sure if te foreighn voters will get it. |

Yin Yangby charliebakerComment: I will admit that yin and yang is the ideal example of separation and union. I feel that this fits the challenge well some may not know its meaning. I must however complain about the shot its self. It apears to me that this is a side long shot of a rippled balnket. That was put into high contrast. But I can't say for sure. I don't know if I like this or not. It is a photo and I feel it may stretch the rules a bit on the poatrait of artwork part of the rules. But will vote as if it didn't 7 |

Crackedby Erin_KComment: nope I don't like it. Its just a picture of a broken egg on a plate. The pjhoto while not a bad shot just fails to bring out any emotion from me. It looks like an egg on a plate. Nothing unusual or interesting. I feel the only questionable areas of the phot would be why is it on a plate? and why is the shell crushed. I prefered to see nice clean breaks... sorry I don't intend to sound dicouraging.. |

Splitting Nailsby wetlandComment: Not a bad shot but just not very interesting. I will adnit however it fits the challenge. Are the two companies rivaleries or old partners. It seems like this is the begining of a story. Yet the pho fails to tell it. Not a bad shot just seems pretty average to me. |

I never knew such despair....by SteveSeeComment: I think I would have prefered it if the DOF was deeper and streatched to the other ring as well. This shot meets the challenge and is well done. Another thing I think would have made this shot a little more interesting would be to have the picture on the bed be a shot of the reason behing the separation. I.E. wife and pool boy, woman with a black eye or sutch. I feel that would have added a lot more power to this shot. Great shot as it is but I feel it lacks the power needed to carry a ribbon. |

Separation of Stateby jayrodComment: eewwy gooey round stuff. Geen light and cool shadows. I love all of that . I do feel however that the base detracts from the photo. Perhaps is the base had a silver cloth draped around it giving it more of a supernatural feel It would have worked better for me. As for the background.. i'm undecided .. but But I like the green goo soo much that i'm still going to give ya a 7 |
