There does not seem to be a center of attention (a specific part of the image the eyes are drawn to). The frayed strings indicate a lot of use, but the image is quite static. If the ball had been pressed into the strings I think it would have provided a stronger focus for attention.

The soft focus works well for the tender moment and subject. The babies eyes are look to be expressive, but would be much more so if they were a bit brighter (a catchlight would help here).

Nice capture with wonderful colors, but the composition seems off balanced to me and the DOF is too shallow for your point of focus (both the head and tail are OOF, while the hairs on the back are sharply in focus).

Nice focus, but I would have preferred the upper portion of the eye to be brighter. White paper held under the eye to bounce the light onto it would have been enough.

I knew I liked this shot, but it is really nice to see that I was able to communicate the concept as well as I did. It was not perfectly executed, as several of you pointed out, so I know where I need to work on the execution of the communication.
