At Last Light by PedroComment: The angle here is stunning. I would love this even without the dramatic sky. I hope the sky is mostly natural and not assisted too much in PS just because that's my preference, but either way, this is a terrific shot. I expect this will either ribbon, or else really suffer from people who don't want to see anymore PSed skies. 9 from me. |

P a t i e n c eby mariomelComment: One of my top three photos for this challenge. I love the contrast of the girl's silhouette versus the boy in full view. I am drawn into the solitude of the photo - despite depicting two people, it really gives you a sense of being alone. I can easily get lost in either person's world. The boy, whiling away an afternoon, bored but intent. The girl longing to be elsewhere, even her pose helps the viewer imagine her face lost in thought. The lighting is wonderful. The sepia is just perfect, and this coming from one who is not a fan of sepia. 10 and into my favs it goes. |

Thatcher's Legacy (a museum)by FalcComment: Update: This is one of my top three photos for this challenge. I like the grittiness of the black and white, which matches the surroundings and the photojournalistic feel of the shot. I like that you managed a true silhouette without blowing the higlights in your background - somethign that wasn't acheived often in this challenge I thought. And as aforementioned, I dig the light. 10
The light on the hat is a nice touch. I like the moodiness of this. |

One Last Castby GatorguyComment: One of my top three photos for this challenge. I love the composition - it's just great the way the red thing on the fishing pole pulls your eyes into that portion of the photo. I like the gentle orange of the sunset, the companionship, the fact that the companion (child? spouse?) is tired after a long day. Just lovely. 10 |

The Foreshadowing Kissby MontereykiddoComment: This is quite nice. I wish it weren't pushed quite so much (I'm guessing that you enhanced the silhouette in post processing) - I'd prefer to see the teensiest bit of detail on the woman's face. 'course, others would vote you down for that. |

Spiralsby ArcanistComment: Nice. Good to see something different. Somewhat musical - I'm reminded of a treble clef. |

Seahorseby FerretComment: I like the realistic use of natural color here. All too often photographers on this site give in to the urge to "kick it up a notch". This is understated, but lovely. |

first light by whiteroomComment: I can't wait to learn the story behind this one. Just a dynamite image. I hope the little guy was okay. |
