Splish Splash ... Ahh ... The Joys of Summerby flip89Comment: I have a feeling the subject of this photo is actually not in the photo. It would be a better study of the joy of summer to see kids enjoying it (in their eyes, with their smiles). This is interesting as a study of water in motion, but it could have been much more. |

metal feetby JohannesFrankComment: Well, no one will disagree that it meets the challenge. It seems to be okay technically, possibly a little dark and a few focus issues aside. I guess in the end, I just don' resonate with the subject. |

Pinnedby moviemanComment: Sophisticated image. The colors, tones, saturation and levels are really perfect. Hard to imagine how such a simple can convey such emotion. |

Kate and her Feetby BobsterLobsterComment: When I first looked at this, I thought, what a goofy picture. But the more I looked, the more I liked. First, it is very simple ... elegantly simple in fact. I like the red and the placement of the red bedcover. I am intrigued by what the black might hold. Kate's eyes are smiling and I suspect she is grinning from ear to ear. An invitation? All the techniques are fine but they add up to a great photo. One of my top 7 picks. |

Twinsby PedroComment: I am not sure I can pinpoint why I like this so much. The focus is good. the contrast is good. Levels are good. Composition is good. But all of that would just make a technically good picture. Somehow the sum of the parts is more and I really like it. Among my top 5 picks for this challenge. |

Four Feet Upby KonadorComment: Very innovative shot. Composition is very good and conveys a strong relationship between the two. Can't wait to see how you did it within the rules! Among the best of the challenge. |

After a long hike, this is a treatby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: What a great image. This is just terrific!
First of all. I like the colors. The do a very nice job conveying the cool temperature of the water. The flow of the water and the background do an excellent job setting context for the photo. The composition suggests that he's not just cooling tired hot feet, but in fact laying back resting his whole body; that the water is rejuvenating all of him. I have sat with my feet in streams just like this, and felt refreshed just like this. You have done a nice job recreating that experience for me. Thanks. |

On the Road Againby tyt2000Comment: I love this photo.
I like the stark contrast of the paving stones with each other. The silouette works very well. The fact that one foot is in motion but not so much creates an emotional link to the man. Based on his body language alone, I can resonate with him. I am sure you will get comments that "feet" really aren't the subject here, and maybe that's right. But for me, it's the best of show this challenge. Congratulations on this powerful image. |

Footsieby spydrComment: Terrific image. Like the desat. Like the unconventional frame (although risky). Selective soft focus is nice too. Hope it does well. |
