Not so sure it fits the challenge but it's nicely captured. B&W was a good choice. Very good overall composition. Two trees in the foreground are a bit of a distraction, but not that much. If you were to edit for a print, I might clone out the right one ... but that's just an opinion. It conveys a nice emotional impact ... makes me want to put on a coat and go walking out there.

The detail on the underside of the muchrooms is wonderful. Background is distracting. If you could shallow the DOF to blur the background more but still keep the sharp focus on the mushrooms, it would improve the photo IMO.

Very nice capture. The colors are a bit too vibrant for my taste but they work well with the subject. There's something odd going on with DOF. Focus on the mushrooms themselves is a bit soft. Sounds like I don't like the photo, but that's not true. It's one of my top 3 picks this challenge. It's a beautiful photo in spite of these pretty minor distractions.

Cool. I grew up in a part of the country where Yuccas grow wild. As a boy, we would wade through fields of them while hunting or out hiking. We hated them because they were stickery and because they sometimes hid rattlesnakes. You photo is enough to give the lowly Yucca a good name! Great capture. Among my top picks.
