To my taste, this is just too blown out above the horizon. Without a graduated neutral density filter, this is essentially an impossible shot.

Disturbing photo. Dark cast adds to the mood. I hope this was a set shot, because domestic violence never conveys authority, it only conveys fear. Authority is never taken, only given.

A bigger photo would improve this. Try to use all 640 pixels available to you if your cameral will allow. This small and it's hard to see the fine details that would boost the score.

Great expressions. It would be better without the harsh flash. Can you bounce the flash off the ceiling, or possibly boost ISO and shoot natural light?

Nice macro. You might try flipping it vertically. Would give an interesting and differrent perspective.

I LOVE Marvin. Great idea and clever execution. Marvin himself could be a bit brighter and possibly not dead center in the frame, though.

Nice variation on a cliched theme. If it were me, I would raise the camera slightly to lower the board boundry inthe frame. I tend to like shallow DOF but I have learned DPC voters do not. A sharper focus and greater DOF would help, I think.
