The image meets the challenge nicely, but for me the compositon lets the photo down a little. I think its the angle of the dove that I find 'jarring', it just looks a little awkward. There may well have been potential here, but I think the composition just lets it down. Good effort all the same though!

Cute, cute image, with lots of nice detail, but I cannot see how this meets the challenge, although there are light and dark areas in the image I would class this as dappled light.

Sorry but this doesn't quite work for me. I think its the lack of a focal point that I find off putting. This might not be so bad if there was a repeating pattern in the image, but this isn't the case either.

This is a great building and a brilliant choice for you to shoot. For me though, you have missed an opportunity here. I think shooting earlier or later in the day would have given some moody lighting and perhaps a lower viewpoint could have helped with the composition.

I think you were asking a lot of your camera by trying to expose for this image. While trying to expose for the subject it has blown all the highlights in the shrubland. I am not sure what you could hav edone to avoid this with the basic editing rules, but perhaps you could have tried shooting at a different time of day when the sunlight wasn't as strong or shooting on a cloudy day?

You have spotted a good subject to shoot though, the little house is nice and I am sure you could get a really good shot out of it.

Looks a little under exposed to me, and while this does add to the atmosphere and shows the textures off, it does mean a lack of detail in the shutters. Great choice of subject matter though I am not sure about the composition, it looks a little tight to me. Perhaps a close up of the door or the lower right window with the remnants of the shutter would have been an option?

Love the colour in this image though and the textures are fab. Good effort!

For me the composition lets this image down. Placing the palm in the center of the image has almost split the image in two and then the boats and hut just look 'messy'.

Its a shame because there is a lot of potential here. Perhaps moving to the right and making more of the tired (but quite interesting) old hut (which may have hidden some of the inflatables on the shore).

A tricky photo to expose, and I for me this is what lets this shot down. The snow just looks muddy and grey instead of a nice crisp white.

A fine image. I like the overall tone of the image and the motion blur really adds to the mood and seems to increase the sense of distress. Nice job!

Nice image. The model fits the bill nicely and the grungy look suits the image too. I am not too sure about the lighting though, although I can't quite put my finger on the problem. I think maybe the walls are little bit too bright. Nice image all the same though, well done.
