Nice minimalism. I like the "wet floor" look.

Nice. I like the lighting on the glass. The background is a little noisy, but I like the contrast.

Very nice. You nailed the lighting. I love the composition and the colors work well together. Focus and DOP are spot-on as well. Just a great photo!

This one doesn't do too much for me. I like the idea of having a distinct foreground, midground and background. The midground and background look good, but the foreground is too prominent. Try usin the foreground elements to frame the shot. They should not over power it.

Go ahead and stop your lens down a little to broaden your Depth of Field. It looks like the background foliage is a good distance back, you could shoot at maybe f/5.6 of something and get all of the vines in focus and still have good bokeh in the background.

The back of the shell is out of focus. I would close the aperture a little to broaden the depth of field. Ideally, you would want the whole subject in focus, or if you want to do some artsy stuff, really get in tight and exaggerate the narrowness of the the DOF (like just having a person's eye in focus). When it is somewhere in the middle it tends to look lime a mistake.

Nice ISO selection. My rule of thumb is to always shoot at the lowest ISO you can so as to keep the noise down.

Saw this in the "Pick your fave pic from the person above you 13" thread and had to take a closer look. What a great shot! I love a photo that really tells a story, and this does.

Beautiful, yet troubled is what I get from this. It meets the spirit of the challenge perfectly. I do wish that the shoulder and the back of the hair were in focus. A little too narrow DOF, if you ask me. But over all I'm going to have to give it a 9. Nice work.
