Moonlight Sonataby jmsetzlerComment: The blue cast adds nicely to the mood. I'm not sure what the storyline is here, but it may just be that I'm a bit dense. In spite of that it is nicely composed, proper depth of field and just enough sharpness yet it retains a soft look. |

"Alien" or "Dad, are we done yet?"by liltoolComment: Interesting exposure with decent composition save for chopping off the left foot a little (Maybe if the left foot were on the pedal). The semi-washed out background texture is an interesting effect. Good job. |

Concrete Grillby PatellaComment: I like snails. It was nice of this one to pose for you while you snapped it's picture. Since it is moving up and to the right, I would probably have framed it lower and maybe as a landscape view. |

Five O'Clock Shadowby jaidComment: Very crisp macro shot. I love pocket watches, and your presentation of this one is excellent. Nice clean background and a very simple and tasteful arrangement. However, I see two shadows and neither is well defined, otherwise a very nice photo. |

Champagne for my Shadowby FrooberComment: Nice atmoshpere in this photo. You got the shadow and it actually enhances the photo! I would do a bit more sharpening for this one, but regardless, it is good and I really like it. |

Watch Outby daysezComment: Good storytelling in a fun way. It did take me a moment to get this one because of lack of definition in the knife shadow. I was also distracted by the fire. It would be better if the fire were more out of focus and the knife more clearly defined. |

Rorschach #11by GordonComment: I like that the shadow extends to the point of almost becoming the subject. The busy backdrop is nice for the shadow, but almost hides the subject. I wonder if a solid or more subdued backdrop would improve things. |

Bubba Hitchcockby shortredneckComment: I don't think Hitchcock was quite as lumpy as Bubba looks in this one. Bubba is also a bit fuzzy, but good effort. |

Don't Tread on Meby rebeccaleidyComment: I love old buildings and this one is full of character, but I don't see the connection with the shadow challenge. |

asleepby lamedosComment: Interesting effect, which makes this one of the more unusual photos and a good entry. |
