Thank you everyone for your kind and helpful comments. As with every challenge, this one was a great learning experience for me. Sorry about the rotation, I really should have caught that and corrected it. I think that next time I will shoot only a few frames and then preview on the PC before making setup changes. I would like to hear how other people achieve perfection in their tabletop shots.

Cool shot, good job! I had to focus on this one a bit to grab hold of it, but when it hit it was with a lot of impact. My only suggestion would be to saturate the colors a bit more to bring out the iris.

Great color and nice capture of the ice form. The wood surface detracts from the shot. This would really look much better if shot on a solid black or white surface.

An interesting idea. Very good exposure and focus. However, I do think that the background takes away from the impact. It might look better on a solid contrasting color.
