Back to School rushby samchadComment: Too bad they are so dirty (yeah I know, winter weather). The yellow would make a bright color study if they had just been washed :-) |

One Room Schoolhouseby dw_photoComment: Tough dealing with bright sun on snow. You managed to get the exposure about right. Is there perhaps a better time of day for the position of the sun given this perspective? |

School's Outby whiteroomComment: I love their expressions and the sense of action. The B&W conversion is very good, to my eye, much better than the typical. |

Thinking of his Futureby Melly8522Comment: Cute image, but it does seem like there is some softness on his face, perhaps this is motion blur from a slow shutter speed? A large reflector would fill in the eyes better, provide a bit more light for the exposure, and add more diminsionality to the subject's face. |

Consumed by Homeworkby scalvertComment: Nice concept image, creative and it gets the point across. I would have liked a bit more and softer light on the subject and perhaps a touch more contrast. Regardless it's a keeper. |

Good Morning Little Schoolgirlsby pinotkenComment: Very cute photo and such expression on their faces! I like the basic composition, but would like it more if you had given it more breathing room and not cropped so tight. I would like to see all of their feet and there would be more balance and less visual tension if more space above. In a perfect world it would be nice to have a large reflector get a bit more light on the faces of the two in front, but that is unlikely to have been possible. |

Education begins earlyby cvhs99Comment: This is a really cute scene and the composition seems just right to me. If only it were sharper. I can see that it was shot at a slow shutter speed and probably handheld. A tripod can hold the camera steady and prevent blur from camera shake (I use one that can get very low to the ground for shooting children). Bumping up the ISO setting, when possible, can help acheive a faster shutter speed and reduce the motion blur from the subject. |

Kindergarten Lesson in Colorsby kteachComment: Nice color and focus, and good DOF choice. In this scene, the colors appear to be the subject. However, I would also love to see a version where the child is the subject interacting with the color. That isn't to say that this is bad in any way, but the child's actions are of great interest and in this scene we get only a teaser. |
