A perfect contrast of calm disdain and apoplectic frustration. Been there. Also like the contrast between the two mats and/or rug. That is, a 'meadow' of small flowers and a welter of frenetic design. Is the dog actually slobbering?

My personal favorite of the challenge.
The horizontal rhythms delicately build to the crescendo of the sun. Moving and powerful.
The haiku is nice, but the visual haiku would be difficult to transform into words.

Interesting melding of curve and straight line, they actually look comfortable together. And the outskirts, calm in its own nature. Fine composition, not quite balanced because of the slanted perspective, and more provocative for it. Nice title, modest and full. The colors are gorgeous, just wonderful. Who needs Faberge?
