Suspected that you would get hammered with regards to points on this one. I still like it, for the same reasons as before. I agree with uberjuve's comment to some extent. The composition takes this photo one step beyond the "normal" photo hera at DPC.

Very nice colours. Is that snow on the left? Maybe the house is slightly off if you look at how to dived the photo into different sections (rule of 3rds and so on...) Also maybe the horizon is a little to much in the center. As a photo I still rank it as very interesting. 7 from me. With another composition / cropping, an 8 or a 9

Nice dof, excellent shot of the bird, and like the B&W. Too bad about the bird showing us his behind... Normally I don't rate bird photos very high, but this gets a 7. If the bird had been more in profile, then you'd get an 8 or 9...
