Mixed Fruit Basketby dswebbComment: LOL! Great idea. It would be even better if you ditched the inconsequential glass and plate and just zoomed in on the fruit. |

A Flying DESSERTby kiwinickComment: My goodness- is that a Clamnana? Clever idea, but the low (presumably incandescent) light has resulted in a reddish image with a soft focus. More light would solve the problem. I'd also crop most of the right-side background and a little off the top. (6) |

A fig tastes better when it's stolenby peeteComment: Cool squirrel shot, but the "food" part of your image is trivial and mostly obstructed. You might have been better off forgetting the fig- just title your shot, "Tastes Like Chicken." ;-) |

Candy Appleby bjallenComment: Well, this shot does meet the challenge, but you could do better with two changes. First- adjust the white balance and/or use levels to get that background more neutral. It doesn't have to be white, but the reddish yellow color looks like a white balance problem. Second- rotate the image diagonally and use a really tight crop to eliminate the blurry part of the popsicle stick. |

burnt beerby dsmboostaholicComment: Hmm... this shot lacks, well... food. Maybe you could have leaned it more toward food with a title like, "Fire Roased Beer Can," but I don't think the result would be much different. The static subject, lack of color or visual appeal, and pixelated edges (maybe cropped too much?) probably won't result in a score that makes you happy. Sorry! :-( |

A glass of Italiaby KatrankaComment: Good color, exposure and choice of subject, though I'm not sold on the centered composition- it's kinda' static. The "spray" of pasta makes me wonder if you could have created a bouquet of some sort. The wooden fork seems out of character for some reason- you might have been better off without it. Still a good job! |

Hawaiian Style!by divernickComment: Clever idea. Why not finish it off with a beach-scene background or play sand? Good color and sharpness. I think cropping diagonally may have worked well in terms of composition. |

Chinatown Treatsby DigitalNoobComment: I was really surprised that more people didn't go to Chinatown for this one. Good idea, sharpness and color. I think the business works against you on this one. Focusing on one cuttlefish/squid/whateveritis would have worked better for me. |

Risingby bongoComment: Congrats on the personal best Bongo! While you just missed a ribbon, you can be proud that you topped the 7 mark AND scored the 10th highest rated photo ever taken with the Canon Rebel. |
