a grey day in montereyby kmbr2001Comment: Love the colors... In Florida, the sand doesn't look like that... Neither does the water... I like this more and more as I look at it - man... the color is spectacular!! sorry for being repetitive. 8 :) |

An Eveningby Joe_CoolComment: beautiful colors, but the focus issues and the fact that it's not horizontal... tragic... 4 |

yellow t-shirtby naomikComment: This would be better in black & white (i know i know, but you could change the title, too). :)
Also, the angle at which you took this is kind of tragic. I see that you are standing to the side a bit so that she's not in the center of the photograph, but you should still aim the camera perpindicular to the wall so that the line where the wall meets the ground is horizontal and so that she's sitting completely vertical -- The way you took it means that if you rotate it a few degrees to straighten up that line, she'll be tilted a little bit.
Still a good effort. 5 |

dieselby undieyatchComment: hmm... I looked at it for a while trying to decide what it was, and I'm still not sure i know. Then i looked at the title again, and it didn't help explain at all. Sorry. I just don't get what it is. Though it is an attractive photograph. |

The Lost Jewelby LongComment: I like the lighting, and the shadow it creates, but i think it would be stronger with a Jewel that was not in a setting.
I was thinking that perhaps the jewel was a bright color, maybe topaz or something, then it would be more interesting as well, because the light refracted behind it would also be blue and would contrast nicely with the light colored paper. 6 |

Repetition with variations for small childby e301Comment: I don't get the title (probably just don't understand the cultural reference) but this photograph is amazing. This is the 2nd 10 I've given out, and like I said to the other person, the 10's are unmistakable, you know them as soon as they pop up on the screen. This was definitely one of them. Although I do have to ask - isn't it illegal in the open challenges to do spot desaturation? Or... is this how it looks in person? I really hope it's legal, because I think this is a ribbon hopeful. |

Red Tulip on Yellow Backgroundby Prof_FateComment: My FAVORITE flower!! ya know, I like the composition, but what do you think about the base of the glass being shown? I can't put my finger on why exactly, but I feel like it would help. Maybe you could zoom out a little so that the flower isn't any higher than it is now. i dunno. :) 7 for having my favorite flower, and for making me happy. |
