Very good. My mark is 8. Insufficient softness: it should ehance the shadow cut on the face. Try several layers of transparent plasic - ice effect!

The picture is unbalanced. Leave just a couple of the right surfers and make it portrait frame. Then the water on top will be heavy enough to justify figures at the bottom.

I did not understand the title :(
Central composition makes it a landscape and the smoke on the horizon is percepted as a cloud. I would walk down to the sand lay down and take it from there filling 1/4 or less of the bottom with the beach and puttig the smoke into the left third. The grass on the foreground is just a distractor here.
