Hoar Frostby ChasSourekComment: A delicate subject that invites the viewer closer--unfortunately, the frame takes up much of that possibility. |

Kip's Barnby eqsiteComment: Hi, Gary! Guess what? I entered Kip's Barn, too! (I'm guessing this is yours since I don't think OdysseyF22 shot from this angle...forgive me if I'm wrong.)
Love the reflection in this! We really had the sky on our side and you captured the blue-black drama of it all! Good luck in the challenge! |

road warriorby voboghurayComment: I am so compelled to look at this image and try to understand the story of this man. One athletic leg, one mangled like a polio victim. The easy stride of the goats contrasts with the odd posture of the man. I am so in his world and yet don't feel as if I'm a voyeur at a freak show. The incidental people add interest, too. The couple in front of the furniture store sign, unaware. The gaze of the youth from the upper right, catching the photographer at work. 5 worlds at least--modern wealth (the couple), daily business (people upper left), the youth interested and outside of the situation, the goatherd with his goats, and the photographer. Interesting confluence! |

Arizona Asphaltby lynnesiteComment: Love the shapes in this image the snaky road and the rounded cactus. The colors are warm and oddly inviting to this hostile desert environment. The late-day light makes me strain to appreciate the textures and I just wish, for that reason, it were a bit brighter. |

Life in Deathby DefyTimeComment: I rarely like cemetary shots despite the fact I've been known to take them. I like that you decided to take it from behind the stones so no names are shown--it gives it a timeless and placeless (if you will) feel. The selective desaturation is so appropriate here. Nicely done! |
