Watching the little creaturesby crikComment: The black and white photo of a squirrel jumping off of a tree branch is well-composed and captures the moment of action. The squirrel is in mid-air, its body stretched out and its tail uncurled. The tree branch is the story in this picture and, providing a sense of scale and context. The use of black and white photography helps to highlight the details of the squirrel's fur and the movement of its body. The trunk looks menacing as a crocodile head. Great capture. |

Champion by NeatComment: The overall effect of the image is one of tension and excitement. The viewer is drawn into the scene and left wondering what will happen next. The minimalist style of the image only serves to heighten the sense of drama, and the use of color is incredibly effective. This is the clear winner in this contest. And it would in any contest.
I guess it's Neat. (if not, consider it a compliment). Anyhow a big fat 10 from me. |

cityscape by GeorgesBogaertComment: The building cannot be seen with the naked eye at night. It's taken from a distance of maybe 10km (6 miles) The Bower lens is fully manual.
It's so hard to get things that far in focus. |

Usually in Mayby GeorgesBogaertComment: Originally posted by glad2badad: For us, the little ones show up in June. But they're working on it right now (nesting). :-) |
Here in Taiwan we have a sub tropical climate In the warmer climates this will happen a little earlier in spring than in the colder areas. Migrating birds however are much later, usually August. |
