Knowing how to read your camera's histogram is the most important thing you can do to ensure a good exposure. If Your camera gives you the option to show the range of brightness in your image as a graph, which plots the light levels from jet black, on the left, to pure white, on the right. you should try to use it. In this shot you lose so many details in the shadows. Shooting in raw helps since you can adjust in post. If you are shooting digital Jump on Youtube and take a quick video tutorial on using a histogram. Good Luck

Refreshing after seeing several pictures of over used filters I get a Crisp in focus picture with great use of a Shallow DOF. Nice Job.. The Bird had my eye wanting to see what he/she sees to the right of the frame

This is a nice Snapshot for the family album, The softness and noise in IMO do not do this justice and takes away from the subjects, Also it is framed off balanced. As this would work with some subjects , it accentuates the softness on the Right side. Sorry not a favorite at all. Good luck with future submissions.
