Knowing how to read your camera's histogram is the most important thing you can do to ensure a good exposure. If Your camera gives you the option to show the range of brightness in your image as a graph, which plots the light levels from jet black, on the left, to pure white, on the right. you should try to use it. In this shot you lose so many details in the shadows. Shooting in raw helps since you can adjust in post. If you are shooting digital Jump on Youtube and take a quick video tutorial on using a histogram. Good Luck |
