A momentary pauseby liangdaweiComment: IMHO you should have saved this for the free study challenge. It is a darn near perfect shot that does not really nail the challenge, so it will get a lot of votes that will hammer it as such. Great image, but not a great entry to this challenge. |

The Game.by romilComment: The yellow cast detracts from a very good image, i particularly like the strong verticals of the arms and the background |

The USS Carl Vinson Sails by sfaliceComment: Congratulations Alice, for the long deserved ribbon, but even more so for this lovely complete image. The combination of the classic view and this awesome ship slipping into the fog make for a truly great image. |

Well seen. Yes, I'm reconnecting a modem to a motherboard that I took out of an old eMachines tower. |

Growth?by KristinaGComment: Having the rose buds in just slightly different phases of opening seems to have puzzled some folks, but it worked well for me; after all who do we compare ourselves to but our peers. Lovely green bokeh really sets off the buds. |

Respectby snafflesComment: I was sure this was a setup because the guy's technique in hand holding the brick is so amazingly dangerous and stupid! The shot is beautifully done and picking out the brown for the font is perfect. The message left me a touch flat because I have spent more than a few hours on a wet saw and if one of my guys used one like this, I would have bitch slapped him before he ended up in the hospital with a broken finger and my insurance rates went up, not to mention the fact that he is grinding off the diamonds by using such sloppy cutting technique. Sorry, I'm sure no one else was bothered.
By the way, you can pretty much feed your naked hand into the blade and it will not cut you. It only cuts something harder than flesh, like a fingernail or masonry. The danger comes in binding the material you are cutting on the blade, which will slam your hand against the slide board and break the bones in your fingers.
