Perfect for the challenge, nicely cropped. As is, this would have been a six, but with a little more focus or a quicker shutter speed, this would have been an 8 or 9.

The only issue here is that I don't know what "spruce spray" is, and wouldn't have gotten the picture without the title. That would have gotten it a 7.

The lighting is really pretty well done, as the hair on the arm stands out and really defines his boundaris against a similar colored background. That might have moved it to an 8.

For a "last minute entry", this really isn't too bad.

This is almost perfect. I would have preferred a bit more DOF, but, I hope it ribbons. It is one of the top 3 shots in the challenge (IMHO.)

Great idea. Colors are excellent, and the subject/cropping combination really fits. The focus could be a little stronger.
